Meet the Head

Welcome to King’s House School, and thank you for considering us for your child. We believe that our School is a very special place, which offers a wonderful education for children aged from 3 to 13 years.

King’s House School provides a happy and relaxed environment, and one where pupils can thrive and flourish. Our aim is to offer a broad and balanced education to all our pupils, enabling them to develop their academic, social, sporting emotional and artistic attributes.

Throughout their time at King’s House School pupils are provided with various opportunities to discover and challenge themselves. We cherish each pupil as an individual and provide them with the skills and mental resilience to succeed in whatever path they choose to take. Small class sizes means that we can get to know each child and identify their unique strengths, interests and passions.

The School is an inclusive community and we place great emphasis on fun, pastoral care and a healthy blend of encouragement and discipline. The pastoral aspect of school life is at the heart everything we do, and we pride ourselves on providing an environment that is both nurturing and challenging.

The academic side underpins the education here, with an emphasis on the core areas in the early years, spreading to an increasing range of subjects by the top end of the School. Pupils achieve well academically which is demonstrated by the calibre of their destination schools.

We are delighted to be making the move to co-education, and from September 2024 girls will also be able to join Reception and Year 1. It is a very exciting time for King’s House, and we look forward to extending our school community.
