Wraparound Care

Junior and Senior Department

Since September 2024, we have partnered with Après-School to provide after school care for the children in our Junior and Senior Departments at King’s House. Après-School are an Ofsted-registered specialist wraparound care provider and have many years’ experience creating a safe and nurturing environment for children beyond the school day.

Activities are planned for children of all ages, including arts & crafts, sport and outdoor play, construction, and board games. The staff ratio is 1:10 for children of school age. Children will all be provided with healthy snacks, often including fresh fruit, sandwiches, and raisins.

Après-School was founded by Luke Currie, a former Assistant Headteacher and Safeguarding Lead at a London prep school. For general inquiries or to discuss program specifics, Mr Currie is available at .

Nursery Department

From September 2026, wraparound care will be available for children in the nursery in-house, run by our lovely Nursery staff in our Nursery building. Early Birds sessions will be available from 8am and ASC until 5:30pm, with the afternoon sessions including a healthy afternoon tea option.

For the rest of the Summer Term 2026, Children in the Nursery (Squirrels/Rabbits Class) will continue to have access to Early Birds and ASC provision. Early Birds is offered from 8am at the Nursery. ASC is offered through Apres-School until 6pm. Children in Squirrels/Rabbits classes will be walked from Nursery to the Junior Department for ASC at 3pm, with age-appropriate resources for them.

After School Care Sessions 2025-26

Sessions for after-school care with Après-School are bookable in advance via their website here. As an Ofsted-registered provider, they will be able to accept Childcare Vouchers and participate in the Tax-Free Childcare scheme. Payment can be made in monthly instalments or in bulk. A 10% sibling discount is offered when both siblings are booked on the same session.

A one-time registration fee of £10 applies, and this covers admin costs associated with set up. Do make sure to register closer to the time, as this allows you to avoid paying non-member fees for sessions.

Bookings can be made up until the last minute for children to join a session. Please note that 24 hours’ notice must be given to cancel sessions, otherwise you will still be charged. To cancel a booking, simply log in to your account, go to the “Bookings” menu, and select the specific booking you wish to cancel. Then, click on “Amend Dates” and fill out the form, ensuring you select the correct dates, session, and child.
