Celebrating Student Success on the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge
In November 2025, students from Year 2 through Year 8 at King’s House participated in the UK National Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, a highlight of our school’s computing calendar and a well-established national competition. This annual event draws thousands of young minds from across the UK, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with problems that develop critical thinking, logic, and algorithmic reasoning.
The Bebras Challenge is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for problem-solving. Participants tackle a wide array of challenges each requiring careful thought, pattern recognition, and creative strategies. By engaging with these tasks, students develop essential skills that underpin success in computing and beyond, reinforcing our commitment to cultivating a school-wide culture where every student can thrive in the digital age here at King’s House School.
We are thrilled to announce that the results, revealed this spring term, show outstanding achievement across all year groups. Fifteen percent of our students earned the highly coveted Gold Award, placing them among the top 10% of participants nationally for their age group.
We extend our congratulations to all students who took part in this year’s challenge. Your dedication and enthusiasm are a testament to the creativity, resilience, and intellectual curiosity that King’s House School encourages in every learner. We look forward to seeing even more students take part in future competitions and continue building their computational thinking skills.
