Remembrance Day & World Kindness Day at King’s House School 🩷

This week has been a particularly meaningful one at King’s House School as we honoured both Remembrance Day and World Kindness Day.

Across the school, pupils took part in a range of thoughtful activities for Remembrance Day. Nursery children created beautiful artwork and talked about all the different people who help keep us safe, even taking part in a special two-minute silence. The Junior Department held an assembly exploring the importance and meaning of remembrance, followed by a time of quiet reflection. In the Senior Department, a group of Year 8 pupils led our annual Remembrance Day assembly, reminding us who we are honouring and why this moment matters. A huge thank you to our Charity Leaders for leading this year’s Poppy Appeal — it was wonderful to see poppies worn proudly across the school. Thanks to our generous community, we raised just under £1,000 for Royal British Legion 👏

For World Kindness Day, King’s House turned pink in support of Noah’s Pink Balloon Leukaemia Fund, a charity very close to our hearts. Pupils across the school incorporated pink into their uniforms in many creative ways, spreading kindness and positivity throughout the day. Our Nursery children shared treats— including cookies and flowers — with special members of staff who help them learn and grow 🍪💐

A heartfelt thank you from both Royal British Legion and Noah’s Pink Balloon Leukaemia Fund to all the families who donated — your kindness truly makes a difference.

Thank you once again to everyone who supported these important days 🙌
