King’s House School is very proud to have been awarded the Green Flag Award for 2025 at Distinction level!
The Green Flag Award, which recognises our Eco-Schools Accreditation, is organised by Keep Britain Tidy. This is an acknowledgement to recognise and celebrate our efforts in doing our part in looking after the environment and striving to continue to improve our sustainability as a school – both for environmental reasons, as well as setting a good example and educating our students along the way.
Alongside the efforts the school goes to to create an eco-friendly environment, it is inspiring to see the children fully embracing initiatives such as this one. Our student-led environmental group, the Eco-Warriors, supported by King’s House staff, worked hard throughout the year to strengthen the school’s sustainable practices. With the focus on three main areas – litter, biodiversity and energy –the Eco-Warriors developed an action plan and successfully implemented changes that are making King’s House a greener, better place 👏
The Eco-Warriors worked hard through out the year implementing new practices to improve our sustainable practices, some examples include creating a litter action plan, making promotional posters to encourage sustainable practices and helping promote energy saving behaviour. It is great to see students making a real impact in the King’s House Community and stepping up into these positions of leadership as Eco-Warrior members!
A huge congratulations to the Eco-Warriors and the staff who supported them in making this achievement possible!
