A Day In The Nursery
We have two year groups at King’s House Nursery: Caterpillars for children rising 3s and Butterflies for rising 4s. Children generally join Caterpillars in the term they turn 3.
Both groups have varied and exciting days, with a balance of free-flow, adult led and child initiated activities, as well as phonics, learning and play.
Wraparound care is also available: Early Birds in the Nursery starts at 8am. Caterpillars can stay for lunch until 12.45pm, and Butterflies have the option of staying for the afternoon session until 2.45pm. King’s House Nursery is term-time only, although holiday clubs are usually offered during the Easter, Christmas and summer holidays.
Children in the Nursery benefit from the school’s facilities and specialist teachers, including Music, Computing, PE, Drama and languages.
