Nursery Induction

All children joining the Nursery have induction sessions before they start to help them settle in, and feel safe and secure. These sessions also allow our staff to get to know them and their parents.

Before joining us children and parents can attend a stay and play session, as well as a shorter two-hour session that allows us to see how they settle.

At the start of the school year parents are invited to an information evening. This is an informal event, and provides the chance for families to meet the teachers and other parents, and listen to a short presentation about life at Nursery.

Every child has a key carer to ensure parents have a point of contact to help settle them in the early days and ensure a smooth transition: meet our staff team here.

We are always available for a quick word in the morning or at the end of the day on the gate. If families need a longer chat, we can always arrange a phone call or meeting. Getting to know our families well and sharing information ensures we can work together to make your child’s time with us a very positive experience.
