Celebrating a decade-long partnership with King’s House and the Royal SpringBoard Foundation
We were delighted to welcome Veronika and Julien from the Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation to King’s House.
SpringBoard is a social mobility charity working with over a hundred independent state and boarding schools to widen access to fully funded 110% bursar places. they work with local groups and organisations to identify children who would most benefit from either a day or boarding school, and place them in the right school for them. King’s House has been supporting the charity for over a decade, and we’re so pleased to have raised over £200,000 for them! This money will have created a lasting impact on so many young peoples lives over that time.
Veronika, the Director of Fundraising, and Julien, an alumni of the programme who now works for the charity, recently visited King’s House and spoke to Years 6, 7 and 8 about the work they do, and how they help children. Julien also spoke about his experience as a SpringBoarder and journey through school, and it was wonderful to hear pupils asking some great questions and thinking about the ways charities can work, and how we might help others.
Thank you to Veronika and Julien for giving up their time and visiting us!
