Celebrating Anti-Bullying Week at King’s House
This week at King’s House we have been celebrating Anti-Bullying Week, and the theme this year is ‘Make a Noise’. The week is devoted to acts of kindness, understanding the features of bullying behaviour and feeling empowered to ‘call it out’.
Year 4 pupils have been taking a stance on bullying in their year group assembly and PSHE lessons. The boys have learnt to use the acronym ‘BOO’ to ascertain if unkind behaviour falls into an act of bullying:
- Being mean
- On purpose &
- Over and over again
The boys acted out some scenarios and discussed whether the behaviour seen was simply unfeeling, unkind, or an act of bullying.
In the Junior Department, assembly today focused on what bullying is, and what to do if you think you notice bullying.
