”On Friday Year 8 went to the Tower of London for a school trip. The year split up into 2 groups to take turns exploring the different areas. We were able to see the crowns from the past rulers, which allowed us to see how they have changed over time. We also went into the White Tower that displayed all kinds of suits of armour, from those of soldiers to those of the horses that fought in the wars alongside them.,

After a quick lunch break, we headed back outside to meet a lady that showed us two different rooms that royal prisoners had been kept in, such as Elizabeth I, and talked about how they ended up in prison and how they were let out, or even if they had escaped.

Overall, I think that this was an excellent trip to investigate and further understand history and explore the Tower of London as much as possible.”
