This week Year 4 at King’s House School had a fantastic time on their trip to Windsor Castle!
They have been learning about the Norman Conquest of England in History, and they had the chance to see how a castle has developed over the ages, to look at the weaponry in the castle, to investigate the role of knights within the Norman era. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, and was founded y William the Conqueror in the 11th Century.
In the afternoon, the boys enjoyed an interactive workshop on Knights, and also saw the defences on the outside of the castle, including the arrow slits and battlements.
