The last few weeks have been very exciting in King’s House Nursery!

This week the Caterpillars have been looking after a family of snails. They have made some wonderful observations, learnt about their special features, had the opportunity to use new descriptive language and realised the importance of being gentle and taking care of such tiny creatures. A drama session meant we had a whole class of snails slithering across the classroom!

In Butterflies they have been learning about the role of the Firefighter. It is always a very popular week and the classroom has been a hive of activity. They have created different sized ladders with masking tape and then counted as they jumped along the rungs, to find out which one was the biggest. They have been putting out ‘fires’ with pipettes in the water tray and then created the most wonderful shape fire engines for our wall displays.
