Remote Learning at King’s House School

“I want to let you know that I am impressed with the manner in which teachers at KH speak with the boys and answer their questions. The teachers show kindness, understanding and patience. I’ve also been impressed that they speak in gentle tones, with some lovely humour. It can’t be easy for teachers to teach the boys these days, but I’m grateful for them showing such understanding. Their manner makes it easier for our boys to do online learning.”

“Remote learning is working incredibly well for our boys – it’s been great.  The transition from teaching in the classroom to teaching online has been seamless and the teachers and the boys all seem to have adapted brilliantly.  We have been impressed that the school has maintained so well the breadth of its curriculum.  The contact we have had from our boys’ respective form tutors has also been hugely appreciated. The pastoral care has been excellent at this challenging time.”

“I wanted to send you a note to say a big thank you to you and the other teachers for putting in so much hard work over the break, it is clear you spent time preparing and setting up activities for the boys to do so that they can continue learning from home and our first day of schooling wasn’t easy but it was a success thanks to you. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, teaching is not easy, I don’t know how you do it with so many children and with so much success.”

“Just a quick note to say thank you for the tremendous effort you are putting into making sure the boys can continue with the education through this mess of a pandemic. I cannot imagine how stressful it is for you and the whole team at King’s House. Rest assured we truly appreciate the variety of resources and tools you are sending every day and the live lessons are so very helpful even though, again, I do not envy the level of stress each of them is causing you. Commanding 20 drifting monkeys remotely is no joke! Thank you again and I really hope we are soon allowed out of our confinements.”

“I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know about some of the amazing feedback you’ve been getting on the parents WhatsApp group regarding your teaching during lockdown!! People have been absolutely blown away by how much energy, enthusiasm and fun you bring to the boys lessons. You have such a great rapport with them and the way they respond to you is amazing. We feel very lucky to have you as our year three teacher so thank you for everything you are doing to make this strange time a little easier for everyone!”

“The fact that Mr Green is basically live most of the morning and even when the boys are working independently is online to answer questions, as if they were in the classroom, is amazing and was exactly what I was hoping would happen. It means that for parents like us who work, we can let him get on with it without the need of too much support from us. So just a quick note to say thank you for making it happen, and amazing that we could also get some resources such as maths books etc, to help them at home.”
