King’s House School recently held a Mufti Day in support of Barnardo’s, the UK’s largest national children’s charity who protect, support and nurture vulnerable children. The charity was founded by Thomas Barnardo, who first set up a ‘ragged school’ in 1867 where children could get a free basic education. It went on to found any children’s homes, and when he died in 1905 there were 96 homes caring for more than 8,500 vulnerable children.
Today the charity supports and protects young people facing a wide range of issues, helping to change children’s lives and help them achieve their potential. We are delighted to have raised £1,545 for Barnardo’s! Thank you to everyone who donated.
