Rory (7K) recommends His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman because he says, “The plot is really gripping and it has a great mix of reality and myth. The characters are interesting and you learn all about daemons!”
Tom (7D) loves The Murderer’s Ape by Jakob Wegelius because “it is a tense story of a journey to Mumbai in which disaster follows! This adventurous murder mystery has you hooked from the start.”
Nicholas (8L) recommends the Theodore Boone series by John Grisham as he “enjoys the twists and turns, and the legal story from the perspective of a child.”
Nathaniel (8L) loves The Spellslinger Series by Sebastien de Castell: “This young adult fantasy series is bursting with tricks, traps, magic and a talking squirrel cat – it makes me want to read all of the time!”
