Pupils at King’s House School in Richmond, Surrey, have been enjoying the Christmas festivities this year, after many were held virtually in 2020 due to Covid-19.

In the Nursery, families were able to enjoy a wonderful Nativity performance by the Butterfly Class! The children have worked very hard this half term learning the songs and everyone was very impressed with them. There was also a very special visit in the Nursery from Father Christmas, which the children were enthralled by. They were able to tell Father Christmas what they would like for Christmas, and what they will be leaving him and his reindeer on Christmas Eve. There was also a visit from Singing Hands, where the children learnt Makaton to some Christmas songs.

The Reception and Year 1 Nativities were a highlight in the Junior Department (Reception to Year 3), and it was wonderful to be able to welcome parents to watch these once again. Year 2 and 3 put on a fabulous Christmas Concert, with a debut performance from the Junior Orchestra. Both the Junior and Senior Department (Year 4 to 8) enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch during the last week of term.

King’s House was delighted to be able to performance the Senior Department Carol Service in St Mary Magdalene Church in Richmond. There were wonderful performances by the Chamber, Year 4 and Adult Choir that put everyone in the Christmas Spirit.

Pupils and staff loved wearing their Christmas jumpers on the last day of term, and we look forward to seeing everyone in the new year.
