The Year 5 boys were using Makey Makey kits to turn various objects into an input device for the games they had been making in Scratch. They used some of the strangest objects that they didn’t realise would conduct electricity and create a circuit such as metal pins through cardboard, cucumbers, carrots, small patches of water on the table, even each other!

The Year 8 boys were using Swift Playground on the iPads to connect to drones and create code for some aerobatic manoeuvres such as drawing squares, flips, and vertical twisters. Swift is a programming language created by Apple and used to build some of today’s most popular apps such as Airbnb, LinkedIn and Khan Academy.
